I really loved knitting this and think that I will keep this in mind for when I need last minute gifts. Size 15 needles made this go SO FAST! I found this pattern in the Fall/Winter Debbie Bliss magazine. I can't find the label for the yarn I used but I think it was Suri....merino/alpaca/silk blend. It is SO soft!!!

Fun little project that is easy to whip up in a day. You just knit into a long rectangle and then sew it together to get the poncho look. The stitch is rather easy. The stitch pattern (purse stitch) is sl1 pw, k1, *yo, p2tog* repeat from * until last two stitches K2. I find it best to use a cable cast on and a sew off bind off. This particular one was knit using Nature's cotton but I did one today using a Noro wool and have also done it with Baby Alpaca chunky. I use anywhere from a 10-13mm needle.
